The Review: The show was awesome. I arrived there early, thanks to info from Henry J and Dave P.
I talked to Randy, the sound man and he hooked me up with a soundboard patch. I
was also able to get an audience recording. Scott H. Biram opened, and he was
great, full of energy and nasty lyrics that make you want to laugh. He really sings about
his life experiences. He played for almost 50 minutes, then Hank 3 took the stage. They
played a great set except for the fact the the left set of speakers blew about 1/2 way through
the set. You can notice this in the audience recording. A break of about 20 minutes ensued,
and during this time, they seemed to fix the sound. Assjack took the stage and rocked for
almost a half hour solid.
The Recording: Both recordings came out ok. There is an unfixable dropout on Assjack at about the
6:30 mark. Sorry. This is only on the audience recording . My battery died
during the audience recording of Scott H. Biram, not sure what was up with that. I almost put in
my other battery, but decided to save it for HW3 and Assjack, just in case. As stated above, there
is some bad noise coming from the left speaker after about 1/2 way through the Hank 3 set, so take
this under advisement when listening. Also, I was stuck behind some very very tall people moving back
and forth, so sometimes the sound fades in and out. Overall though, a great show!
